The Client
SealTex Inc, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, has provided precision commercial refrigeration services, custom stainless steel foodservice welding, and on-site replacement gaskets for over 30 years (established in 1990). Offering nationwide service to restaurants, hotels, hospitals, and institutional food service providers, SealTex fabricates walk-in cooler doors, floors, and custom stainless steel fixtures on demand.
The Challenge
SealTex operated with siloed tools across its custom manufacturing shop and mobile field technician teams. Managing custom gasket and stainless steel fabrication while coordinating on-site service calls across multiple regions created severe blind spots. Estimators and production managers lacked real-time visibility into job costing (actual technician labor hours versus materials consumed), sales orders were delayed in handoff to fabrication, and mobile technicians struggled with paper work orders and delayed invoicing cycles.
What We Built
DFW IT Partner implemented an integrated Odoo ERP solution covering Odoo Field Service, Manufacturing (MRP), Inventory, Sales, Job Costing, and Accounting. We also deployed our proprietary DIP Job Tracker, enabling real-time tracking of fabrication milestones, field labor, technician dispatches, and material consumption directly tied to customer sales orders and general ledger accounts.
The Result
SealTex Inc unified its factory floor and mobile field service operations on one synchronized platform. Field technicians now receive digital dispatches, log labor and replacement gaskets on-site, and capture customer sign-offs instantly on mobile tablets. Production managers have live, precise job-costing visibility on every walk-in door and welding build, accelerating billing cycles and enhancing overall gross margins.
