What is Engivo?

Engivo is DFW IT Partner’s Odoo-based application for engineer-to-order and project-based manufacturers. It links an engagement or project to its estimate, BOM, fabrications, purchase orders, sales orders, expenses, tasks, documents and manufacturing orders.

Can Odoo handle engineer-to-order manufacturing?

Yes. Odoo provides Project, Manufacturing, Purchase, Inventory, Quality and PLM in one database. Engivo adds an engagement layer, multi-fabrication BOM workflow, estimate analysis, approvals and holds so project-driven fabrication is managed as a whole rather than order by order.

How does Engivo handle projects with many fabricated assemblies?

Each engagement carries an engagement BOM and a hierarchy of fabricated products and child fabrications with their own components and operations. You can copy proven BOMs, and create manufacturing orders for the fabrications from the engagement in one step.

Can Engivo compare estimated and actual project cost?

Engivo’s estimate analysis builds the estimate from BOM lines, task effort and expense lines with a margin on each and creates the sales order from it. Timesheets, expenses, purchases and manufacturing costs post against the same engagement, and Job Tracker adds budget-versus-actual reporting.

How does Engivo control engineering changes and quality holds?

Odoo PLM provides engineering change orders, and Engivo adds a one-approval-required stage rule. Product holds can block manufacturing, shipping or purchasing for a product or a specific lot until a manager releases the hold, and released holds stay as audit history.

Does Engivo support subcontracted operations and long-lead purchasing?

Yes. Buyers select purchases from the engagement BOM, raise POs from sales orders with purchase status tracked per line, apply approval before receipts, and use deposits for prepayments. Odoo subcontracting covers outsourced operations.

Is Engivo only for fabrication shops?

No. It suits any manufacturer that delivers engineered, configured or custom projects: machine builders, skid and equipment builders, structural and metal fabricators, energy system builders and custom assembly shops.

Can we move to Engivo from QuickBooks or spreadsheets?

Yes. We migrate customers, vendors, products, BOMs, open orders, inventory and accounting balances from QuickBooks or spreadsheets, and we scope the project structure with you before configuration begins.
