The Client
Eco Battery, based in South Carolina, is an innovative lithium battery engineering and manufacturing company producing advanced lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) power solutions. Serving golf cart owners, commercial fleet operators, marine, and off-road markets nationwide, Eco Battery delivers drop-in battery bundles, AC powertrains, and the proprietary EB Trace intelligent GPS fleet tracking system through an extensive certified dealer network.
The Challenge
Eco Battery had been operating on a combination of QuickBooks and Fishbowl to manage accounting, inventory, and order fulfillment. As nationwide dealer orders surged alongside direct online sales, the company outgrew the setup. Fishbowl synchronization errors caused inventory counts to drift, tracking individual battery serial numbers and batch lot numbers across distribution centers was labor-intensive, and their Shopify e-commerce platform remained disconnected from true warehouse stock levels and warranty tracking.
What We Built
DFW IT Partner executed a full migration from QuickBooks and Fishbowl into Odoo ERP. We implemented Odoo Inventory with strict serial number and lot tracking, Odoo Accounting with automated valuation, Purchasing, and Sales. We also built a real-time bi-directional integration with Shopify to synchronize orders, inventory allocations, and fulfillment statuses seamlessly with Odoo.
The Result
The unified Odoo platform gave Eco Battery end-to-end traceability for every single lithium battery cell and bundle, from manufacturer receipt to dealer delivery. Fishbowl sync bottlenecks were permanently eliminated, Shopify online orders flow directly into warehouse fulfillment queues with real-time stock allocation, and the finance team now relies on accurate, automated inventory costing and ledger reconciliations.
